Group therapy

Healing and Growth Through Shared Experiences

We believe in the power of community and shared experiences in the healing process. Our group therapy sessions provide a safe and supportive environment where individuals can connect with others facing similar challenges. Led by experienced therapists, our groups offer guidance, coping strategies, and peer support to help individuals build resilience, develop new skills, and foster a sense of belonging.

Our group therapy center is designated with children in mind and is full of fun, creative, and interactive activities to foster child development, emotional regulation, and self-control.

CIB does not use physical intervention, restraint or seclusion methods of behavior management. Our trained staff are experienced in verbal de-escalation. We use the least restrictive means possible to manage challenging behavior. Our "Take Space" area is a great way to calm things down. For children requiring a 1:1 support to be successful in group please talk to your CIB Clinician prior to registration.

frequently asked questions

What is therapy, and how can it help me?

Therapy, also known as counseling or psychotherapy, is a collaborative process between a trained therapist and a client to explore emotions, thoughts, and behaviors.

How do I know if I need therapy or counseling?

Common signs that you might benefit from therapy include feeling overwhelmed, experiencing persistent sadness or anxiety, having trouble functioning in daily life, or facing challenges that feel too difficult to handle on your own.

Is therapy confidential and safe?

Yes, therapy is both confidential and safe. Your therapist is legally and ethically bound to keep everything discussed in sessions private, unless there is a risk of harm to you or others.

How long do therapy sessions typically last?

Short-term therapy often ranges from a few weeks to a few months, typically involving weekly or bi-weekly sessions. It may be suitable for addressing acute issues, such as coping with a recent loss or managing a specific phobia.
